  1. I just wanted to share my thoughts on this tanning lotion before I have had a chance to try it. My personal opinion is that $145 is a CRAZY price point for an indoor tanning lotion. The comparison of the bronzers to the lotions Black Dahlia & Black Noir also makes me nervous. There is A LOT of DHA in those products. Although I have never personally had a problem with streaking/staining with either of those lotions (I am a self-tanning queen, so I have had lots of practice applying such lotions) we have had received feedback from clients using both Black Dahlia & Black Noir that they turned them "orange" or they experienced streaking and staining. Clients wanted to return these products after purchasing them and using them so often that we decided to discontinue carrying both of those lotions in the tanning salon where I work. The ChronReset feature of this product sounds awesome... but I have a hard time accepting that it would REALLY do enough to fight aging and improve skin's function to be worth $145. Unless I come across a sample packet of this that I can try for free or at a discounted price, it will probably be a while before I try it. I'm just not impressed with what it has to offer. I could be wrong though, so I would love to read comments on this product from anyone that has tried it! I will leave an updated comment once I finally test it out too! :)

    2. Dude why don't people who reply to these comments give their dermatological history if applicable, skin tone, tanning history with defect strength of bed.
That's an insane price I was a manager at two different national tanning salons and been working in gyms with tanning beds as a personal trainer 10 yrs never pay salon prices its a commission huge markup and rip off. try Amazon or eBay check seller reviews first.
I just paid 40 for this on eBay since I tan great (Irish Italian but my skin tans well go 3-5times week p90 and ibed 12 min) but dha has tendency to Orange my skin but I also heard this doesn't wash off in shower and I gym, tan, snack, shower usually bronzer washes right off immediately.
I'll update let u know how it is

  2. I actually have tried the Elusive and love it! I've currently sold 3 bottles of this lotion and all of the customers have loved it! This product really shouldn't be sold to anyone who has very fair skin, because of the DHA in it. I have used it twice from the packet that I got from my salon and have gotten great color from it. We had a large population of our tanners that bought Black Dahlia and are awaiting for our new shipment of Elusive. You have to find a person who likes DHA in their lotion. Explain to your customers what it has to offer because the ChronoReset, if used on a daily basis, will help things dramatically. Our lotion trainer explain each new lotion that we will be carrying and personally, I find this one to be the best that I've tried and my customers who have tried it, love it as well.

  3. Thank you, Anonymous.. now you have made me want to give it a chance soon! Question- at your salon do you sell it for full price? If so, do you include any extras (like free tans or upgrades)? Just curious! :)

    1. We sell this product at the salon I work at and I absolutely LOVE IT! The smell is amazing and it gives delayed and instant results. One thing that really sold me on this lotion is that it doesn't seem to "wash off" or "shave off" when I take a shower, and that has been an issue of mine when it comes to products that have a lot of DHA (like black Dahlia, coco de ville etc). To answer your question about the sale price, we sell it for $120 because $145 is outrageous! If you still haven't tried it, I would highly sugest that you do. I would also look around on the web, and other tanning salons to compare prices.

    2. I absolutely love this lotion. It keeps me moisturized and really gets me tan. I do tan really dark naturally but tis helps me achieve it even more. This lotion is not streaky and does not make you look orange. I always get a nice golden brown skin after using this lotion. I worked in a tanning salon and people loved this lotion. I will always recommend it.

  4. Streaky and stains!!

  5. ANY bronzer you use, you have to rub in evenly. You can't just slop it on your skin and jump in. Having Both owned Black Noir and Black Dahlia - Never had any problems with streaking. People Complain about orange hands, etc. well- if you read the directions on the BACK of the bottle- it clearly states (as with any dha bronzing or even natural bronzer) to WASH hands after applying lotion. Just saying!! ....

  6. Designer Skin Elusive is absolutely the best indoor tanning lotion for me. I've been tanning since I was 14 ( 37 now), due to a skin disorder (eczema) . I've tried tons of lotions Designer Skin Black was my favorite, but Elusive is now! Designer Skin keep up the great work on making your products the best!!!

  7. **My review on Jan 5,2014**

I used this in the morning today 10 hrs ago..

*Scent-A light botanical fresh flowery scent....its pretty and unique..definitely a unisex scent. I personally love the scent.

*Ato was light..After a few hours I did pick up hints of DHA every now & then but nothing bad or major.

*This lotion was nicely moisturizing, dimethicone is 10th in the ingredients so silicone wise its not heavy imo at all. Lotion goes on creamy & smooth, medium thickness but absorbs into the skin well and doesn't feel greasy at all.My skin felt hydrated and soft after tanning.

*Color boost was actually pretty good considering DHA is the 11th ingredient.....BUT I will say this there are lotions that get me darker but still in the end this lotion did a nice job. I used a tantoo in a random spot and 10hrs later the tantoo outline is lightly visible and my existing tantoo outline from the Jwoww bronzer w/the Ink Drink complex that I used last Monday is still visible but the crispness of it died down due to this lotion. This lotion did give me a very nice brown boost of color so no complaints.

Overall I like this lotion and would get a bottle but not for the $150 retail price IMO its not all that! But its nice for the right price(shop around) lol IMO I don't consider this a dark DHA bronzer, to me its more like a medium bronzer.

*This is one that is packet worthy! I can see people loving this and hating this..

4/5 stars DHA could be higher up in the ingredients

  8. Can I get this product on amazon

    1. It's possible, but I never trust purchasing tanning products from Amazon or anywhere else online. The manufacturers/distributors of this brand of tanning lotion prohibit the sale of it online- so there is NO way to be sure you're getting the real deal. I mean, the bottles are not even sealed!

  9. I finally tried this lotion & I am really happy with it! I love the fragrance and it felt amazing on my skin. I can definitely tell that it does have a high level of skincare. As I stated previously, I was somewhat worried about the high level of DHA it contains.. but it did not prove to be a problem for me at all! I got the best color from my one session using Elusive than I have gotten from one session in a loooong time!! I am hooked. I told the owner of the tanning salon where I work that I will definitely be ordering a bottle for myself ASAP. Still not sure that I feel confident enough to buy bottles to sell in the salon yet, just because we ran into so many issues with clients wanting to return Black Dahlia and Black Noir because they found the bronzers to be staining/streaky. Personally- I had no problem at all though! It seems to be one of the best/highest quality tanning lotions available to date. I definitely would recommend it to anyone that is an advanced tanner and has experience using a lotion with a higher level of DHA!

  11. is there any salon in the Elkhart IN area selling this product?

  12. My boyfriend and I are using this right now while we tan to prepare for our trip from Chicago to the Bahamas. He's a doctor, and also Greek. I'm fair skinned, but we are both getting great results after the first use.
I tried Save The Date first. Wasn't happy with it.
Although I'm against tanning, we both agree its important to tan before you go on a trip so you build up the melanin in your skin.
But online. $11 to $154 is crazy!!!

  13. We sell this at my salon and I have to say, it was worth every penny I paid and we sold out to our clients in no time. People want the best and this is it. I have fair skin and I am pretty freckled and I have never seen better results. My arms seldom tan and they are almost as dark as my stomach tou get what you pay for. Pointblank

  14. I just tried a packet of this tonight for the first time (paid $15 WITH a 30% discount already applied- but worth it!) and I loved it. My salon sells it for $150, but I came online and googled it, and found it on multiple sites including eBay for $45. I will be buying it at that price! :) I will say that I take a while to tan, and have tried all of the higher end lotions. For a non-tingle (which works best for me), this is one of my favorites!

    1. Be careful with EBAY, sometimes it's more of a scam rather than something that's the real deal. Pay very close to what's in it and all that jazz, you pay for what you get.

    2. Thanks for the heads up! I actually ended up purchasing Blonde Bombshell and JWows One and Done, so we will see what I get when/if they arrive (luckily they were quite inexpensive so I figured I'd give it a shot)! I wrote this review the first time I used elusive, and I loved it. The second time I tried a packet, I felt really orange that night and the next day. I'm not sure why it happened the second time and not the first, so I'll give it one more chance!

    3. I use One and Done and typically mix it with Hot Sexy Kisses and love it.

  15. I used this lotion the other day and LOVED IT!! No streaking or stains and your skin feels like silk. Also smells amazing before AND after you get out of the tanning bed!

  16. You can get lotion on Amazon I always buy from TheeTanMan. I always verify it's real by comparing to the salon. Just got Jwoww One and Done and love it. Just bought Elusive for $25 at a salon closeout. Can't wait to try it.

  17. HATE this lotion. Smells terrible and is very streaky. Not worth the money and have had many clients that want to return it.

  18. So has anyone that has used the product that has showered and your tan that you recived while using this product came off?? And this is the second time this had happened but I love this product it works but I dont like the fact of it taking off my tan after I shower. And after put the product on and tan I whip off my skin before and after I tan with it.

  19. I had the same problem.

  20. This lotion is the best on the market hands down. The color it gives you is awesome. I have used many different lotions in the past but this one is my all favorite.

  21. I purchased this lotion as soon as it came.out. I was highly disappointed. The lotion was too thick, it came off in the bed & I didnt receive any color off of this lotion. Save your money

  22. I have very pale ivory skin color and had just started tanning faithfully two and a half months ago. I tan every other day and have worked up to tanning for the full time in 12 min bed. I have gone through two different lotions and just bought Elusive yesterday. OMG! The color boost I got is amazing. Not at all streaky and my skin is so soft and silky. I also used it on my face and have decided to skip foundation all together! Best skin care in a bottle. I do have a hard time trying to sell it to others because of the price but now I know how amazing it is and cant wait to talk to our clients about it!

  23. I work at a tanning salon I am also a college student the price of this lotion seemed outrageous, I had a hard time selling it because I kept saying I wouldn't pay that price and now that I've tried it i'm on the verge of buying a bottle absolutely amazing color!!! Will not regret getting this lotion definitely helps break through that plateau.

  24. I have used this lotion for the past 2 weeks and I can honestly say that it is the best I have used. I am very fair and have many freckles and my tan takes a long time to build but once I tried Elusive that all changed. I have not had any problems with streaking or stains. The scent is okay but not my absolute favorite. After tanning it does have an after scent of DHA, but it is not very noticable. Overall, this lotion, in my opinion, isn't worth $120+ but if you can find it for around $40 it is a must have!! Happy tanning! :)
